What's the difference between Holistic,Organic, and Natural Dog food?

I have my eyes on Diamond brand dog food and i’m considering on switching my dog from disgusting purina one to the diamond brand. Does the diamond brand have holistic, organic, and natural dog food? I looked at the diamond maitenence dog food ingredients and it said it contained by products and corn meal in it. Diamond is good because it’s not too expensive for me and their was a brand especially made for costco called kirkland signature that was made by them and I’m considering on buying that. What is it though natural, holistic, or organic?

And how long would a bag of 20lb diamond dog food last? I want to purchase 40lb, but I might opt for a 20lb bag.

Thank you. I’ve been researching into the best affordable dog food I can buy for my 13 week puppy. Because I just realized how bad purina is.

Has anyone using California Natural dog food had a problem with the dog having a loose stool?

After learning what is in Iams Low Residue dog food, we decided to change her diet to California Natural chicken and rice. She loves the food, but has had a loose stool ever since we left the Low Residue behind and made the change, with the blessing of our Vet. He is puzzled and so are we. Didn’t think this would/could happen with this natural and wholesome food. Now we don’t know what to do. She has had plenty of time (3 months) to adjust to the change. Anyone have any advice? In helping her make the change, vet. prescribed forti flora and then metronitazole. Nothing is helping to firm her up, but she seems to feel fine. His present method of treatment is to keep her on the California N., with nothing else and hope for things to turn around. This has been going on for way too long. And her stool is like pudding. We’re thinking we need to put her back on the Low Residue no matter what is in it.

All Natural Dog Food Or Commercial Any Difference?

all dog foods aren’t created equal … whats best for for canines
I herd from a well know holistic veterinarian that home made pet foods weren’t a bad Idea … I like to make my own human grade pet food even though it takes a day …. I have some creative recipes on stand by ….

why is their so much hype about the pet food recall and using any type of pet food these days …. since the 2006 recall ive used a all natural grade moreover its from Healthypetnet
great answers everyone I added all of you to my contact list lol

so every9one agrees that pet foods aren’t just about recall it is more about the source and who formulates it …. I use my eyes and read about the recall it its very scary because dogs and cats die dally from commercial foods …

I saw a really good wholesome dog food called Lifes Abundance online anyone approve of this links … http://www.healthfoodforpets.com

Using AvoDerm Natural dog food with added..?

Hi! :) Well, my dog Angel has really bad skin problems. She’s had them since she was a baby and we’ve tried alot of things to help her..but I suddenly had an idea. I know that AvoDerm Natural dog food is supposed to be good for dogs with skin problems, and they have a special brand for senior dogs which is what Angel would need. Also, I know that some things found in fish can be really soothing to the skin as well. So, if I got my baby AvoDerm Natural Senior food, and added a capsule of Fish Oil supplement into it every feeding, (we only feed her once a day, everday ofcourse, around 5-530) would this be acceptable and safe for her? Thank you! :)
