At our natural food store, Californa Natural Chicken Meal & Rice Formula was recommended highly by the sales guy. He gave me 2 sample packets which I have been slowly introducing to my 3 year old Shih-poo and she seems to be liking it so far, but I don’t want to switch totally if it isn’t great for her.

I want to give my dog the best possible dog food, so I’ve switched him back to the Nutro lamb & rice (was eating Iams for a while), but I’m noticing that when he is on the Nutro diet, his stool becomes very soft and makes it impossible to "pick up" after him. Has anyone else had this happen? Any ideas on what to do? I don’t want to switch him back to a lesser dog food just because of this:( Thanks for any helpful advice!

If so STOP RIGHT NOW and get you dog to a vet we have lost two dogs and it is all because of the food vets at Texas A&M did an autopsy on one of the dogs and they found it was the food that caused the deaths. Natural Balance dog food was added to the list yesterday.

I’ve been reading about euthanized animals being used in dog food. I’m trying to find an all natural, cruelty free dog food. Anyone heard of the food put out by Castor & Pollux and has it been rated?
