How can I make homemade (wet) cat food? I usually feed my cats Natural Life dry cat food during the day, and canned wet food in the morning. But I want them to have more nutritional wet food, and I don’t think the commercial products are good for them.

Besides what I should make for them, how often should I give them wet food?

My cats are currently eating Weruva and Merricks cat food. They only eat wet food and due to crystals in the bladder, my vet advised to no longer feed dry food. In the next few months, I will be going through a move and job change that will change my financial status and buying Weruva and Merricks may no longer be possible financially. 3 of my 4 cats love Friskies, I bought some to try it out and they love it, my one cat does not but maybe with time she will.

The question is… is there really a huge difference in their health/life span between all natural and regular cat food? My vet told me that as long as it’s AAFCO approved then it’s fine. I though still fed them Weruva and Merricks. Do you feed your cats Friskies or 9Lives or a common commercial cat foods? My friends have cats who have lived close to 20 years with no health problems and they ate regular cat food that was picked up at the supermarket. I’m wondering if I’m doing a bad thing switching their all natural cat food to the more affordable commerical cat food?

Cats need taurine, an amino acid. Taurine is added into canned & dry cat food. Where do cougars, African lions, Alaskan lynxes get their taurine? Is it in an organ of caught prey? Or …

I am wanting to put together a recipe book for natural dog and cat foods. Full meals, treats whatever you can think of. It has to be 100% natural. I would also like to include the source in which it came from in order to give proper credit. I do not want to sell or publish this book just put it together for any people who are looking to feed their pet natural foods and pass it on for free. I would also like a few new ideas for my pets. Please let me know of any recipes you may have, used or you know are good for dogs or cats. Please include full recipe and how to prepare. Thank you so much for your help.
