I have been feeding my 4 month old Goldendoodle IAMS Puppy Formula (which is what my breeder was feeding her). However, I am not particularly happy with the ingredients in it because it has a lot of by products and contains a lot of grains such as corn.

My groomer told me that corn can cause allergies in dogs, and it can cause a "doggie smell" that is almost constant… as well as skin and digestion problems.

So I have been researching dog foods, and I came across a brand that is supposedly "endorsed" by Lassie, and it is called "Natural Way". The first five ingredients seemed pretty good…

Lamb Meal, Rice Flour, Rice Bran, Ground Rice, Chicken Meal,…

I was wondering if anyone has tried it and what do you think of it??

NOTE: This is not a debate about the best dog food… or why IAMS is good or bad… or anything like this. I am simply looking to find out if anyone has tried this food!!
Like I said, the ingredients in "Natural Way" seemed "healthier" that the IAMS. I found that IAMS had a lot of corn and by products while Natural Way did not. I am also wondering if anyone eliminated corn for health problems in their dog?

How do you guys like California Natural for your dogs? My dog (5 year old cocker spaniel) has been on homemade food for a couple months, but she doesn’t have her normal energy with it (she even gets a vitamin each day)…will California Natural (chicken meal and rice low fat) give her more energy possibly?

At our natural food store, Californa Natural Chicken Meal & Rice Formula was recommended highly by the sales guy. He gave me 2 sample packets which I have been slowly introducing to my 3 year old Shih-poo and she seems to be liking it so far, but I don’t want to switch totally if it isn’t great for her.

I have been feeding my shih tzu innova which I know is a great dog food, but it has a lot of ingredients and I am worried that something in it might be causing her ear infections. I just switched over to California Natural, which is made by the same company as Innova. It has very few ingredients, and so far I have read good things about it. I am a little worried because it has chicken meal as the only protein source. Innova didn’t have any sort of "meal" in it, and I am not sure exactly what chicken meal is. Have any of you had experiences with California Natural? Good or bad, please let me know!

i just switch to all natural cat and dog food like 6 months ago.
i am now feeding my cats chicken soup for the cat lovers soul, i read the ingredients and the second main ingredient was chicken MEAL. the meal part mean it can be anything to everything inside a chicken (like beaks, claws, guts, ect)
im looking for the best-est all naturalist + tasty-est cat food.
can you help me?
